Italian Hamburger Pie

Ah, hamburger pie! Loaded with beef, spinach, and seasonings. This might look like spinach overload, but spinach is a good thing - especially if the children will eat it. And this is one dish that the children love. Add some parmesan corn on the cob and you will have "happy plates" all around!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Brown beef, mushrooms, and onion in a skillet. Drain.
In a large bowl, combine spinach, sour cream, and seasonings.
Add meat mixture and then stir in shredded cheese. Mix well.
Spoon mixture into uncooked pie crusts.
Bake for 40-50 minutes.

For a low-carb option, skip the crust and spoon mixture into an empty pie pan. I put aluminum foil in this pan and covered it to freeze for later.

Italian Hamburger Pie

1 lb. ground beef            
2 tsp. garlic powder
8 oz. sliced mushrooms              
1 tsp. sea salt
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. black pepper
20 oz. frozen spinach, thawed and drained         

8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded                        
8 oz. sour cream           
2 9-inch pie crusts
 

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Brown beef, mushrooms, and onion. Drain. Combine meat mixture with all other ingredients. Pour into pie crust and bake for 30-40 minutes.
